LEAC Annual Dinner
The London Edinburgh Academical Club holds its Annual Dinner at the Caledonian Club, in Halkin Street, London SW1, on a Friday in March or early April, at 18.45 for 19.15. All members of the Club are notified of this event by email where possible, or by physical mail. All Accies are most welcome, and they are invited to bring male guests. The Annual Dinner is a very convivial occasion which allows Accies of all ages to meet each other, and spans seven decades of life at the Academy. In recent years, we have seen a number of female Accies attending the Dinner, and they are most welcome. Typically, between 50 and 80 Accies attend the Dinner, and encouragingly, at least 20% of those attending are in their twenties. Last year's Annual Dinner was held on Friday 23rd March 2007, at the Caledonian Club. Our Guest Speaker was Major General (now Lieutenant General) Robert Baxter CBE (EA 1965-71), the senior serving military Accie. This year's Dinner will be held on Friday 4th April at 18.45 for 19.15. This will be the last London Dinner that John Light will be attending as Rector. We look forward to welcoming him and a number of Accies from Edinburgh. If you have not received an invitation to this year's Dinner by email or post, and would like to attend, please contact Tim Walker, our Social Secretary, on 0207 2238978, or by email at timwalker@aliwal.freeserve.co.uk . We would be very pleased to see you at the Dinner. Click to see the 8-year list of those attending our Annual Dinners
